The ads you see on the main pages do not generate revenue. Instead, they allow us to offer Connect as a free community service, by and for people who love the region.
The developers of the platform that serves this site have invested years of money and extensive engineering effort; and have produced a unique, useful and very timely product with a great user interface.
When we can afford to buy the full version, we will. For the time being, however, we're happy to promote their company and products. And pay our bills instead :)
